Pleated Skirt & Leather Trimmed Sweater

I am so excited to post my first blog post! I want to begin by saying Happy New Year! This will be the start of a new journey for me and  I hope you come along! While this isn’t my first blog, this will be a new beginning for me. Therefore, I am branching out and spreading my wings…hopefully I can fly, lol!

A majority of the items I wear are purchased second hand. I mainly shop at local thrifts store and consignment shops. I have always been a thrifty type of person in all aspects of my life (According to my family, I’m just like my grandmother. lol). Hey, if you save money and still get what you need/want, I don’t see a problem. Well that enough about me for now, stick around and you will learn a lot more. Let’s get on to the outfit!

This outfit was just amazing to wear. It is a great representation of my style. I love neutral colors and a majority of my closet contains just that. While I do love color and have some amazing colored pieces, my first love is neutrals! The sweater is from Ann Taylor and is 100% Italian Merino Wool. It also has leather trim around the collar, love it!

I also found this Banana Republic sheer pleated skirt! This skirt is amazing, it has great movement and is a true statement piece.  The good thing about pleated shirts are there timeless. As a result, this skirt will be a stable in my closet for a long time.Women in Ann Taylor tan Leather Trim Sweater, with a banana republic black sheer pleated skirt and nine west suede and snake skin shoes

We must not forget these beautiful nine west shoes I picked up at their outlet.  These suede and snake skins heels are just breathtaking. It was love at first sight *swoons* lol.

This outfit put a little more pep in my step and I feel like the shoes made the outfit, wouldn’t you say? What pair of shoes gives you that extra pep or just makes you feel your best when you wear them? I’d love to know, leave a comment below.

  1. This look on you is absolutely gorgeous! That pose is “magazine/model” worthy. I enjoyed reading this article about thrift shopping. I too find good deals at thrift stores and I even do consignments; another great way to save money and shop at the same time!
P.s. I also love the new look of your blog!!!

    1. Thank you so much Ruth. Yes, I live at the thrift store and consignment shops. Glad you like the new layout.
