Leopard Print Shoes + Turtlenecks

With this crazy Alabama weather, you just never know what conditions you’re going to wake up to. It can be 75 one day and 60 the next. I plan my outfits for the upcoming week on Sundays, based on the weather predictions and recheck it every morning to make sure I don’t need to make any changes. Unfortunately, this doesn’t always work as the weather can’t be easily predicted nowadays. Woke up this morning to 55 degrees and it quickly climbed to 65 today. As a result, it makes it tricky when pre-planning outfits.

I was given a pair of  leopard-printed, Jessica Simpson shoes as gift from my cousin over a year ago and this is my first time wearing them. I know you’re thinking,  “Why are you just now wearing these fabulous shoes?” Well, in my previous profession, the dress code was specific and uniform, and there was no dressing it up.  A few months ago I started at a new place of employment and can now show my individual style. While I am nowhere near a fashion expert, I will just be showing my style here on the blog. I hope you enjoy! Now on to the fit of the day…

Printed shoes are definitely not a staple in my closet. I’m just a simple, neutral colored, plain shoe type of girl…nothing too daring when it comes to fashion, but I had to take these shoes for a spin. I got so many compliments on my outfit. This outfit made me walk with more confidence and with my head held just a little high, lol!

While printed shoes are definitely not a staple in my closet, and this outfit was definitely out of my comfort zone, I’m glad I took this risk! It gave me a little push over my imaginary line and I think I like it, ;-).

What did you think of the outfit? Have you ever stepped out of your comfort zone? Were you surprised that it wasn’t as bad as you thought it would be? Leave a comment below!
