I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
First let me start off by saying happy MLK day! It was an honor to have such a great man preach and speak love, in a time of such great hate. I thank Dr. King for laying down his life, so that my kids and myself could have a better life!
The 70’s had some great fashion trends. While, I didn’t care for all the patterns and prints, the silhouettes and structures of the clothing are what I love. From the high-waisted bell bottoms, the pussy bow blouses to the mini dresses.
As you know, I am an avid thrift shopper and I find some amazing piece sometimes. I think this patterned mini dress was one of those times. I saw this and instantly knew I had to have it. While it is not super short on me, hit tight at middle of my thighs. I think it stops at a great length for me to pull off this look on different occasions. I also want to mention that I am not all about labels and designers. If I see a piece that I love, and it’s good quality, I will buy it. So in this case, this is not a label that I have ever heard of, but I still think it was a great buy.
The dress is the main focal point of this outfit, pairing it with these black, opaque tights and BCBG black leather ankle boots, gives it that 70’s vibe I was going for. All and all this piece is amazing and although the dress itself is not something I normally would wear, I love it. Additionally, I love the fact it was in a neutral color, my favorite of course. Finally, what do you think of the 70’s fashion trends? What are some of your favorites, leave a comment below!
