Pussy Bow Shirt & Ruffle Skirt

Happy Monday & President’s day!  I hope everyone had an amazing weekend. I had a super busy weekend, work, exercising, guest and of course my newest obsession budgeting! If you are off today, lucky you, I am at the office working hard for my money, lol! If you have been following me for a while, then you know I love retro clothing. Although I am not girlie girl, but when it comes to retro clothing I’m all in. I love to find unique pieces that flatter my figure. I found this amazing skirt at my local thrift store for $3.99 and could not pass it up.

This brown pussy bow skirt is a remix from my Shades of Brown-Monochromatic Look post. I am all about mixing and matching clothes in my current collection to make new stylish outfits. Since my closet is mostly neutral colors this is easy to do. I love this shirt, as I mention before, this era of shirts have an amazing style and fit.
This next piece is the star of this post. I found this amazing skirt at my local thrift store for $3.99 and could not pass it up. I knew I had to have it when I saw it! The neutral colors and the beautiful ruffles detail in the back made it a must have for me.

Because it was a colder day, I paired the outfit with some brown stocking and my Metoo.. brown booties!  These booties were also thrifted as well, a great find as they were in new condition.

My goal is to show others that you don’t have to spend a lot of money to dress for work. Whether you work at a super conservative office or in a  more laid back atmosphere. I hope that my posts have shown you that you don’t need to spend hundreds and even thousands of dollars to look amazing.

  1. Cute top! And I didn’t know its called a pussy bow. Why its called pussy bow?

What I do know is this is a vintage style for school uniforms here in Japan 🙂

  2. I don’t spend a lot on clothes, but that’s my opinion. My husband will absolutely disagree. I will spend a lot if I really want something bad enough. Having said that, I also like buying clothes for others. Btw, I love how the booties match the top. Very nicely styled.

  3. I agree that you don’t need to spend lots of money to look good. You just have to know what to pair up with each clothing. In this outfit, you look spectacular!
