Wild Wednesday’s : My Summer Reading List

Welcome to another Wild Wednesday’s, today I am going to share with you my summer reading list. I am an avid reader it is one my favorite pastime, besides watching movies. If you have read my post 5 Books to Snuggle Up & Read This Winter  &  My Self-Care ToolKit then you can tell how much I love reading. I set a goal to for this year to read at least 25 books, not a lot I know, but hey I have to squeeze it in with other adult responsibilities, lol. So far this year I have read 13 books! Check me out on Goodreads . I want to read at least 6 more books before summer is over. So let see what on My Summer Reading List.

So now that it’s summer, you know what that means? I can totally stay up way past my bedtime catching up on all those books I’ve been dying to read all year long.  Don’t have a summer reading list, no worries,  check out mine! Hopefully this list will inspire you to read on those lazy days on the deck and have you partaking in late night binge-reading sessions, lol!

My Summer Reading List

  1. Cross the Line by James Patterson

Shots ring out in the early morning hours in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. When the smoke clears, a prominent police official lies dead, leaving the city’s police force scrambling for answers. James Patterson is one of my favorite authors and his lead character Alex Cross is amazing, no need to say anymore, lol!

  2. Golden Prey by John Sandford

The man was smart and he didn’t mind killing people. Welcome to the big leagues, Davenport. Lucas Davenport’s first case as a U.S. Marshal sends him into uncharted territory. Also another favorite author of mine, if you can’t tell already I love crime and mystery novels the most! Currently on waiting list at the library hopefully will get a copy before summer is over!

  3. Into the Water by Paula Hawkins

A single mother turns up dead at the bottom of the river that runs through town. Earlier in the summer, a vulnerable teenage girl met the same fate. Paula Hawkins is a author I just discovered this year. Girl on the train was amazing and I know this will be too! Also, currently on waiting list at the library!

  4. Career of Evil by Robert Galbraith

Cormoran Strike is back, with his assistant Robin Ellacott, in a mystery based around soldiers returning from war. When a mysterious package is delivered to Robin Ellacott, she is horrified to discover that it contains a woman’s severed leg. I believe I read stated reading Robert Galbraith last year, and I must say his stories don’t disappoint. Cormoran is a great character and I love his assistant Robin!

  5. One of Us Is Lying by Karen M. McManus

This is a story of what happens when five strangers walk into detention and only four walk out alive. Everyone is a suspect, and everyone has something to hide. To be honest I’ve never read a book by this author before, but with this plot how could I  not pick it up!

  6. What Alice Forgot by Liane Moriarty

Alice Love is twenty-nine, crazy about her husband, and pregnant with her first child. So imagine Alice’s surprise when she comes to on the floor of a gym and is whisked off to the hospital where she discovers the honeymoon is truly over — she’s getting divorced, she has three kids and she’s actually 39 years old. Laine Moriarty will have you at the edge of your seat with the her plot twist. I love her writing soo much. I couldn’t get this in a physical book, so I decided to try out an audio-book instead.
